Driven by a passion for authentic design, interior decorator Melissa Giuffrida, recently launched Collécte, an Australian marketplace purposely curated to offer pre-owned designer furniture and accessories.
A typical day in my life sees me... Getting kids off to school, a workout or a walk, and then off to work. My workday changes constantly from curating listings of new products, working on marketing campaigns, to analysing the daily reports! My day finishes in bed with a cup of tea and the latest book from book group – such great way to finish my day.
A career highlight has been starting my own business...Collécte. Collécte is something I have been working on for the last two years, and to see it actually come to life and launch in 2020 was an incredible feeling. I am incredibly grateful for all the positive support and interest I’ve had over the last six months; the experience has already exceeded my expectations.
I think the foundation pieces of any wardrobe are… Jeans, blazer and pants, white v-neck t-shirts, a good white shirt, sneakers and great pair of heels.
My style mantra is... Buy what suits you and what you feel comfortable in. I always like to add a pop of colour or some interest through accessories.
What I love about FLATIRON is... the fabrics and details; and that all pieces are designed and made here in Melbourne. The blue zebra shirt I purchased last year is still one of my favourites!
My favourite pieces in FLATIRON’s latest collection are... the wide leg linen pant in blue and the 'Sea Pool' bomber jacket.
