In this series, we team up a stellar collection of women who we admire for their unique personal style and the way they celebrate their individuality through what they wear. 
We get to know them a little more and explore their take on FLATIRON.
We go a long way back with photographer and artist, Mandy Couzens - in fact, all the way back to high school!
Since launching F L A T I R O N, we have always turned to Mandy to photograph our collections. Her mad love for capturing the perfect imperfections of everyday life speaks to our heart. Through her kindness, subtlety and beautiful signature smile, Mandy has a knack for putting her subjects at ease and producing the most beautiful moody photographs.
Recently, we visited Mandy in her home studio to see how she brings her eclectic style to our latest range. Unapologetic, individual and completely at ease in her own skin, Mandy embodies the essence of who we think the FLATIRON woman is. 

I am... a mum, wife, photographer, an artist, and a business woman. I have my own photography business and am also co owner of the Mamma Knows brand, a set of websites inspiring families to explore their local area.

A typical day in my life sees me... up at 5am for a workout and back home for multiple coffees, making lunches, negotiations and tantrums to get the kids off to school. My day from there could be anything, which is what I LOVE… from doing a shoot in my home studio, or on location, out and about discovering local gems in my area and beyond, editing photos, writing, meetings, or just general running of the businesses. I try to fit all this into school hours so by 3pm I’m waiting at the school gate for those smiling faces. After dinner I’m usually fading so it’s an EARLY bedtime with a good book and my dog, Dusty, at my feet.

A career highlight has been... my solo travels to France to learn new photography skills (always learning) and meeting some of my photography idols.

I think the foundation pieces of any wardrobe are… a good mix of quality vintage and new pieces. And at least 15 pairs of jeans.

My style mantra is... I need more jeans!

My muse is... Jane Birkin, I love her vintage style and how everything seemed so effortless.

What brings me JOY… FOOD! Shooting it, styling it and eating it. And creating art through photography.

I am excited about... going adventuring and discovering new places, and new experiences with the family.

My favourite piece in FLATIRON’s latest collection is… I can’t go past the rouched jacket. Throw it on over anything to instantly look better!

What I love about The FLATIRON Label is... that every piece I own is special and unique. They are my go-to on special occasions. High quality and timeless, that aren’t cookie cutter pieces, and I know I will always get asked, 'Where did you get that?'
